Dr. Chen is an Associate Professor and PhD Supervisor at Sun Yat-sen University School of Medicine. He received his PhD from the School of Life Sciences, Peking University in 2014. From 2014 to 2018, he conducted postdoctoral research at the Perelman School of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania, focusing on the regulation of protein homeostasis in cancer. From 2018 to 2025, he served as an independent principal investigator at the Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, where he established a cancer cell biology research group and continued related studies.
